Dr. Mittsi Crossman is a double Board Certified General and Addiction Psychiatrist & Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) with a practice in New York City treating adults and older adolescents.
She specializes in comprehensive assessment and compassionate and integrated care of mental health problems, with expertise in addictive, personality, and eating disorders.
To address the complexities of such disorders, usually involving biological, social, and learned factors, Dr. Crossman offers a variety of therapeutic modalities that include state of the art pharmacological management, individual psychotherapy (talk therapy), and supportive interventions to the patient and their families.
Dr. Crossman has trained in several modalities of therapy at the NYU School of Medicine and with the Eating Disorders, Compulsions, and Addictions Service (EDCAS) Program of the William Alanson White Institute. She has been intensively trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

Please make sure to include your date of birth, phone number with best times to call, and reason for consultation in the message.
- In order to have the maximum time to spend with patients, Dr. Crossman does not accept insurance.
- Initial consultations are usually 1 ½ to 2 hours.
- Follow-up appointments are usually 45 minutes.
- Appointments can be paid for on date of service by check, cash, or credit card (additional service fee). Patients are provided with an invoice that they could submit for possible reimbursement of out of network benefits.
- Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance to avoid charge.
